Almost everyone undertakes a major home improvement at some point during life in their home. Could be replacement windows or a new roof. Maybe a room addition or a landscape overhaul.
People sometimes forget, price is negotiable.
Years spent in the remodeling industry given us insight into actual project costs, acceptable levels of profit and overhead; as well as a red flag for high prices.
Utilizing our same methods for negotiating real estate we review the proposals, contact the vendors on you behalf and attempt to negotiate a better price. If we are successful, we share in the savings with you; if we are not, it costs you nothing.
No secret profits
Real estate professionals are prohibited from making "secret profits" during a real estate transaction. This ensures that agents cannot recommend a certain vendor and make money without disclosing that money to the client.
While the tenure in your home is not "during a real estate transaction", we hold ourselves to that requirement regardless.
As a hypothetical example, you receive 3 bids for a house full of replacement windows and you are willing to commit to work with any of the contractors. We review the contracts and contact the vendors, negotiating $1000 off. We charge you 25% of the amount we saved you. We make a little to keep the program running and you save big.
Most importantly, you know what we make and you enjoy what you save.
Why do we do this?
We don't charge for investigating if we can save you money on a major project, and any money we make is minimal; so why?
Quite simply, we can help, so we do help.

You are correct. A real estate license does not qualify ordinary agents to perform this level of service.
