No secret profits
Real estate professionals are prohibited from making "secret profits" during a real estate transaction. This ensures that agents cannot recommend a certain vendor and make money without disclosing that money to the client.
While the tenure in your home is not "during a real estate transaction", we hold ourselves to that requirement regardless.
As a hypothetical example, you are tiling a backsplash and our vendor offers us 30% off retail, so we offer you 20% off retail. We make a few dollars to maintain the program and you save big.
Most importantly, you know what we make and you enjoy what you save.
Why do we do this?
